Where to put drinks at a watch party

Give every seat a reachable drink spot without turning the snack table into an obstacle course.

Start from the seats, not the snack spread

Sit in each place a guest will use. Check whether a drink can be reached and set down without leaning over another person, a serving platter or a laptop. An end table beside a chair can be more useful than one crowded coffee table for the whole room. Do this with the actual furniture arrangement before guests arrive.

Separate refills from resting places

Keep spare drinks, ice and cups together where people can get up for a refill. Give open drinks their own resting places near seats. This reduces the need to park a half-finished drink among unopened cans or serving dishes. A Steadi is a holder for one compatible container, not a tray for carrying several drinks from that station.

Reserve the full footprint

Steadi’s base is 5.2 inches across. Use the footprint checker on our fit page, or cut a paper circle that size and place it where the drink will sit. Leave additional hand room around it. Keep the entire base supported on a level, stationary surface; a partial overhang or a crowded tray edge is not enough.

Leave a clear route for guests

Walk from each seat to the food and out of the room. Move drinks away from knees, feet and places people use to push themselves up. Keep charging cables and remote controls from crossing the drink spot. Avoid a floor location in a walking route even if the holder appears to fit there.

Plan for different drinkware

Ask what people usually drink from, then measure unfamiliar container bases. Cans, glasses and handled tumblers need different clearances even when they fit the same holder. Steadi accepts bases 2–3.15 inches across, inclusive; boots, low handles or unusual shapes can still prevent proper seating. Do not choose by capacity alone.

Reset the room at halftime

Clear empty containers and used plates, dry wet surfaces and put the remote back in its own place. Recheck drink spots if chairs move or more guests arrive. The wider base remains a freestanding resting aid; it does not make a crowded room or an unstable table immune to spills.
